• 2003-2020 Leader of the Kata’ib Hezbollah militia group in Iraq

• 2007 - Was charged with the death penalty in Kuwait for his role in the 1983 Kuwait bombings

• 2014-2020 Leader of the Popular Mobilization Forces, which is part of Iraq’s military and worked closely with Iran’s Quds force

• 2020 - Killed via a United States airstrike on January 3rd which was targeting Qasem Soleimani
