Quds Force - Iran

• 1980 - Founded during the Iran-Iraq war, it is a unit in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps

• Has anywhere from 4,000-50,000 members and supports/trains militias such as Hezbollah, Houthi rebels, and Hamas

• Widely considered the most important military force in the region, works to influence other countries who disagree with Iran

• 1998-2020 Leader was Qasem Soleimani

• 2020-Present Leader is Esmail Ghaani
