Russia
Russia's Prime Minister, along with his 31-member cabinet, resigned on Wednesday at the request of President Putin. This comes after Putin's State of the Union, where he proposed Constitutional changes to limit the power of the next President (elections in 2024) and expand the powers of Parliament (which Putin's party controls). Many believe Putin will become PM in 2024, since he cannot become President for a third term, but will keep being the country's main political figure by weakening the next President's power.

The US Treasury will reverse its stance on China being labeled a "currency manipulator," in an effort to alleviate trade tensions. The label currency manipulator is meant to describe how China's Central Bank buys foreign currency (US dollars) as a way to support their own currency and directly influence its exchange rate.
