On Tuesday, hundreds of thousands of Georgians headed to the polling stations to vote in the primary elections. They were met with hour-long waits, failed voting machines, and accusations of voter-suppression. Republicans claim it was a simple mishap while Democrats are wary that political interference could be at play.

Burundi

The President of Burundi, Pierre Nkurunziza, who rose to power in 2005 as hundreds of thousands of his fellow citizens were being slaughtered, passed away this week. In recent years, Burundi's people turned against their once-beloved leader as he worked to stay in power. He died of a heart attack on Monday.
