Virus Approaches 7 Million Confirmed Cases

The number of confirmed cases worldwide is now approaching the 7 million mark, with 400k dead. The United States continues to lead the world by number of known cases (1.9 million), followed by Brazil (600k) and Russia (500k).

United States

Protests demanding an end to police brutality continued throughout the United States, as hundreds of thousands took to the streets. In some areas, curfews were placed and the national guard was called in to stop riots and looting (it is important to note that an overwhelming amount of the protests were peaceful). Protests also took place in Paris, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Sydney, and hundreds of other cities worldwide in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. 
How to End Police Violence

Israel

Thousands of Israelis protested President Netanyahu's plan to annex part of the West Bank. Netanyahu (who was re-elected earlier this year) ran on the platform of expand Israel's sovereignty into the Palestinian-controlled West Bank. His plan is expected to move forward on July 1st, raising concerns from multiple world leaders and Israeli citizens.
