Arrests Made in Khashoggi Case

Five Saudi Arabian citizens were sentenced to death in connection to the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi. The journalist was killed inside the Saudi consulate in October 2018 after he numerously wrote pieces criticizing the Saudi government. Multiple organizations claim that the Saudi Arabian Prince used these five men as scapegoats since many (including the CIA) have tied Khashoggi's death directly to the Prince.

The Mexican government has asked to meet with Bolivia's government immediately in an effort to resolve tensions between the two countries. Mexico claims that Bolivian security forces have been "intimidating and surrounding" its embassy due to the fact that nine Bolivian politicians and officials (all members of Morales' government) are being granted diplomatic refuge inside the Mexican embassy.

Japan and Korea's relationship has dipped to a new low after Prime Minister Abe of Japan stated it was up to the South Korean government to resolve the trade issues between both countries. The problems started after South Korea backed out of an intelligence-sharing agreement with Japan and in return, Japan placed tariffs on chemicals coming in from South Korea.
