US Secretary of State Pompeo met with Israeli PM Netanyahu to discuss virus spread, the annexation of the West Bank, and China. The meeting comes as Israeli officials plan to annex roughly 30% of the West Bank, which would render a two-state solution plan impossible. Pompeo also brought up the issue of Chinese investment into Israel, as the US worries that China could gain a foothold in the Middle East.

24 people were killed in a maternity ward in Afghanistan on Wednesday. A few hours later, 32 people were victims of a suicide bomb in what is one of the bloodiest days this year. Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attacks and the Afghan President has asked the military to go on the offense, which could make it difficult for the US and the Taliban to agree on a deal.
